As part of this ongoing grant from the the Indian Knowledge Systems Initiative, Ministry of Education, Government of India, we are looking to unlock the 'Sanskrit Effect' in a neuro-educational paradigm. We are studying the effects of chanting the Shiva Tandava Stotra on working memory and attentional aspects of children aged 5-7 years. What began as a pilot experiment at The Pratibha Academy, has blossomed into a 2-year action research grant! Our research associate Harshini Anand, armed with her battery of psychometric tests, has been taking a deep dive into the workings of the working memories of the 1-2 graders at the Pratibha Academy!
